You’ve probably heard Black and Yellow by Wiz Khalifa, DJ Scene did a pretty decent job on this remix so I thought it was worthy of being posted. It’s been a long time since I’ve made a post, and I’m amazed at how much traffic this site still receives. Thanks to everyone for visiting.
VST’s are Virtual Instruments that can be used with many Digital Audio Workstations such as FL Studio.
Toxic Biohazard and Poizone are VSTs that come with FL Studio as a Demo Version. If you make beats and use VST’s, if you don’t have these already, you should probably want to get these. If you do have them already, browse through the bunch of them on the last link and see if there is anything you want to add to your collection.
Download the full versions here. Having good VSTs are crucial to making quality beats with FL Studio.
When I heard Chilli Gonzales’s rework of Daft Punk – Rollin & Scratchin I was really feelin the vibe of the track. The piano sound is kinda chaotic and circling similar to how my thoughts and feelings get sometimes. The sample in the song with Sylvester Stallone is pretty inspiring and really gave me a message I felt I needed to hear. I’ve been compelled to listen to many more of his tracks. I didn’t post it here, but I also like his song “Apology” which you can listen to on his myspace. Here are some of his songs. He made available his mixtape for download I linked to at the bottom.
I listened to Mike Posner for the first time today and I really liked the sound I heard from a lot of his tracks. He makes his own beats and I noticed he uses Propellerhead’s Reason for some of it. Obviously he writes some of his own songs as well.. the lyrics are pretty on point with life.
He’s got a unique blend of sounds going on.. it’s not quite hip hop, or pop, or electric.. some of his tracks sound more like dance.. none the less, I like what I’m hearing. Have a listen:
Oh, and if you want to download his stuff.. he’s got some free downloads available on his site. I might link them it later, as well as put the Amazon link to buy his stuff here.
If you’ve ever tried to Rip MP3s from Pandora you might have wondered if there was a better way; There is. Whether you are using a PC or Mac, the solution is here. I’ve provided download links and info about different software you can choose from. I will briefly cover Pandora’s Saver, Pandora’s Jar, PandoraJam, StreamRipperX, iTube Grabber and Orbit Downloader. There are others, but these are what I would suggest using. Most of them can rip streaming audio/video from other sources as well, such as YouTube, Myspace, Deezer, Last.fm and have features such as scrobbling and more.
Ronald Jenkees has released his 2nd CD titled Disorganized Fun. Many of you may already know of Ronald, he became known from his entertaining YouTube videos with a unique and humorous presentation. He is a very talented keyboard player as well as producer. He has been able to co-lab with some big names as a result of his success and growing number of fans. He uses FL Studio and a variety of keyboards to make his tracks. Also notable he credits Warbeats for their tutorials on how to use FL Studio.
This is a decent tutorial on how to make an acapella with Adobe Audition using the classic inversion method. This method can also be used with Audacity. Using this method you can also create instrumentals.
Using Adobe Audition, you can also use Center Chanel Extraction to make an acapella or instrumental.
The quality from using the inversion method can be quit high. Using Center Chanel Extraction the results will be obvious DIY (Do it yourself) quality, but none the less it works if you are new to making acapellas or instrumentals.
The best methods I’ve come across to make ‘studio quality acapellas’ I learned from DJ Earworm’s book “Audio Mashup Construction Kit”. The absolute best method of producing a studio quality acapella is to use the ‘time shifting method’. There are many tutorials on the net similar to the one above about making an acapella with center chanel extraction or the inversion method, but I haven’t ever seen any about time shifting or other methods out there. For more information about these methods, keep checking back to my site, or subscribe.. I will be creating a tutorial on the methods in the future.
